Ever since the actor appeared as Wicket the Ewok in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, Warwick Davis has been a mainstay in George Lucas’ productions. He even starred as the title character in Willow when he was just 18 years old, having made an impression on the Star Wars creator.
And even though Lucasfilm was sold to Disney a few years ago, Kathleen Kennedy has continued to feature Davis in all of the new films thus far, including Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Now, fresh off of teasing fans with an announcement video to appear in the Han Solo movie, Davis wished fans a happy Star Wars Day with a tweet that may indicate he’ll be in the next anthology film as well.
Davis was announced to be in Star Wars: The Last Jedi and then revealed he’d be providing the voice of Grand Admiral Thrawn’s bodyguard Rukh in Star Wars Rebels. And since he’s sticking around the production studio where the Han Solo spinoff film is currently being shot, chances are he’s appearing in that movie as well.
After being prominently featured in Return of the Jedi Davis has made cameo roles in many of the Star Wars movies since, except for Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.
The actor got his start in A Galaxy Far, Far Away, and the stories of the Star Wars Universe hold a place in his heart.
Though he has had many prominent roles, including the Harry Potter and Leprechaun series, Davis might always be tied closest to the Star Wars franchise. We’re excited to find out who he’ll be playing in the next Star Wars spinoff movie.
The untitled Han Solo movie is scheduled to hit theaters May 25, 2018. Hopefully we will find out the official title soon—the next place Lucasfilm might make an announcement would be the D23 Expo in early July, with San Diego Comic Con following the next week.
